  • NEW FIELDS
    • forums.db
      • ForumOrg - This (in conjunction with the misc.db) will allow you to organize your forums into groups.
  • REMOVED DATABASE
    • kinds.db
      • This database has now been removed. It's functionality has been ported to the misc.db
  • NEW DATABASE
    • misc.db
      • This db will be handling various new features, like the MessageKinds, reserved names, etc...
  • SQUASHED?!?!Currently Known Bug: Switching a forum from Flat->Threaded->Replying to a reply->Flat stops showing that message (and it's reply). We're looking into why. For now, choose a display mode and stick with it. (We believe that this bug has now been fixed. If you experience something similar, please let us know).
  • All admin pages link back to the main adminpage now for easier administration.
  • Compatibility with Typhoon Pro from Pacific-Coast. Typhoon Pro is a stripped down version of Webcatalog for a very reduced price.
  • Modified threaded view slightly. Now when you click on a message's reply, it displays the message being replied to in the alternate color, and all of it's replies in threaded view. This was thought to make more sense.
  • Four New Editors!
    • levelnameedior.tpl - allows you to create a description for each userlevel that you use, that will be displayed underneath a user's name when they post a message.
    • rnameeditor.tpl - here you can add reserved usernames. Any name here CANNOT be registered by a normal user, however, an admin CAN register these names through the membereditor page.
    • emaileditor.tpl - this allows you to edit the two e-mails (registration and forgotten password) that go out
    • forumorgeditor.tpl - this allows you to add/edit/delete the forum organizations. This way, you can organizae forums according to different Subject Areas
  • Duplicate problem fixed. Sometimes, people would hit the submit button for a post/reply more than once (thinkinbg that the first time didn't work). It then posted both (or more) copies. That has been fixed now. No user can post the same message with the same subject, in the same forum, unless it's been over 1 minute.
  • Admins/Moderators can now open/close threads. See below for directions.
  • Ability to edit the e-mails that are sent out. You need to understand the structure of the messageboard in order to change the dynamic parts of course.
  • The search will be along within a few days
