Source FAQ

Q: If I have problems editing the source, can I contact you?
A: Yes. You can indeed contact support for explanations on the implementation of our code, as well as help in integrating your new features. We will not write your code for you, and we will not act as your debuggers. We are here to help, but not to do your job. Any time that you send source to us, please indicate if it is strictly for tech support or not.

Q: What happens when a new version comes out with updated source code?
A: This is the slight danger with the source license, and is one of the reasons this was not initially offered. Every time a new version comes out, we will inform you which files were modified, and what the new features added were (so you can decide if you want to update or not). In addition, each file has a header where we do our best to explain what the individual changes were to that specific file. In addition, there are freely available tools that will do "file diffs" of the new version with a previous version so you can see exactly what was changed.

Q: What happens if we find a bug in the source?
A: For the benefit of other users, please inform us and we will do our best to get an immediate fix out there for all of our users.

Q: I already own a license for The Pubb, and I'd like to get the source code license now, but I don't want another license alltogether. Can we make a deal?
A: This is a situation that I'm sure many of you may be in. This is definitely an option. In this situation, you will pay the difference between your current license (site or server) and the source license. In the case that you're upgrading from a site license to the server license, you will be required to surrender your current license and get issued a "server" license.

Q: I'd like access to the source code, but I don't need a server license. What can I do?
A: At this time, the only available option to get access to the source code is the "source" license, which is in essence a server license with the source code. If you believe your situation calls for special consideration, please contact us at sales@thepubb.com and we'll see what we can do.

If there are further questions regarding this new license, please e-mail us at support@thepubb.com and we'll do our best to answer your question(s) and add common ones to this FAQ.
